The purposes pursuant to your data is processed are as follows:
- Application to be registered as a user of the website https://ebmwg-barcelona2023.mfar.online/ and/or as on-site attendee (the «Application«) to attend the event “International Bone Marrow Course and Workshop: Impact of genetic alterations on the classification of bone marrow myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms” that will be held in Barcelona on April 13th-15th, 2023 and will also be broadcasted through said website (the «Event«).
- Control of the users/attendees of the Event by the Organizer and the Processor.
- The sending of reminders to users/attendees by the Organizer or the Processor by e-mail, containing the basic information of the Event (eg. topic, title, speakers, schedule, etc.).
- The sending by e-mail to the attendees, regarding information related to other EBMWG events or other events of a scientific nature, similar to the Event, organized by the Organizer or by third parties that may be of interest to the users/attendees.
- Upon the end of the Event, an e-mail will be sent to the users/attendees to let them assess the quality of the Event (satisfaction survey).
Likewise, the Organizer will also process your Personal Data (as defined below) to comply with the applicable law and or internal regulations on transparency.
Your name and surname, title, gender, email address, company name or medical center, postal address and phone numbers (the «Personal Data«) will be collected.
Period of conservation of your data
The Personal Data will be kept during the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they are collected (the Application and subsequent attendance at the Event) and for the purposes of complying with the applicable law/regulations, as well as to determine any liability that may arise from said purpose and the data processing.
Execution of the Application by registering the user/attendee (to the Event) on the website and accepting the data processing by checking the box «I have read and accept the processing of my personal data that is detailed in the additional information.». For purpose (iv) (sending e-mail communications regarding events of similar nature than the Event), the legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Organizer.
Please note that if you do not provide your Personal Data, the Application to attend the Event and other purposes may not be processed.
The Organizer, and the company engage to organize the Event: MARKETING FARMACÉUTICO & INVESTIGACIÓN CLÍNICA, S.L., with Spanish Id. No. B64093602 (the “Processor”), who will act as the company that will process personal data as a result of the provision of services related to the organization of the Event.
Right to unsubscribe as a user/attendee or not to receive communications from the Organizer
The user/attendees will only receive communications related to the Event or future events of EMBWG or third parties, provided that it is of a scientific nature, and similar to the Event.
However, at any time, the user/attendee may request the Organizer to unsubscribe as a user of the website https://ebmwg-barcelona2023.mfar.online/ or not receive further communications, through the following means:
- Sending an e-mail to the email address email@example.com detailing at the subject of the email «Unsuscribe communications» or «Unsubscribe user.» It will be necessary that this request is sent from the e-mail that was provided during the user/attendee registration process.
- To stop receiving communications, by clicking on the link placed at the end of the e-mail you receive from the Organizer or Processor.
The user/attendee (the «Subject«) has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the Organizer is processing personal data that concerns him/her or not. The Subject may exercise the rights explained below by writing to the email firstname.lastname@example.org . In order to exercise the rights detailed below, the Subject must provide a photocopy of their ID. The Organizer will respond to the rights exercised by the Subject within a period of 1 month from receipt. The response period may be extended for another 2 months when the complexity and the number of requests may justify it.
The Subject has the right to access their personal data, request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, request its erasure when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
In certain circumstances, the Subject may request the restriction of the processing of their data, in which case they will only be kept for the exercise or defense of claims. However, please note that the exercise of this right may make it impossible to process the Application and those other purposes for the Personal Data is collected.

In that case, the Organizer will stop processing your data, except for compelling legitimate reasons, or the exercise or defense of possible claims.
The Subject may request the right to data portability, which means to move, copy or transfer their personal details collected for these purposes from one environment to another.

Assignment of rights of image
The Subject gives his/her consent to the Organizer and Processor (the “Assignees”) to use the photographies, voice or image recordings that they may obtain, by any means, of him/her (e.g. physical image, voice, full name) in the context of his/her attendance to the Event.
This assignment is free, for any objective that the Assignees might consider appropriate, without duration or geographic limits and sublicenseable to third parties.
However, at any time, the user/attendee may request the Assignees to revoke this authorisation by sending a notice to the Assignees’ registered address, at any time and without justification. In this case the user/attendants’s images will be removed as soon as possible provided that the withdrawal of the authorization will not produce retroactive effects.
Transparency Duties: value transfers
The Subject is informed that, in the event that he/she receives one (or several) value transfers to participate and/or attend the Event (i.e., registration fee, travel and accommodation, and/or fees), the sponsor laboratory, if applicable, will publish on its website for a minimum period of 3 years, the received transfer of value (along with the below details) on an individual and accumulated basis per each category.
The legal basis of said data processing is the legitimate interest of the sponsor laboratory to comply with the Code of Good Practices of Farmaindustria. Therefore, and in accordance with the provisions of the AEPD in its report number 143318/2016, it is not necessary to obtain the consent of the Subject.
The personal data that will be published on the sponsor laboratory’s website will be: your full name, professional address, and identification number (i.e., DNI, NIE or, where appropriate, passport of your nationality).
The Subject may exercise the Rights (detailed above), if applicable, directly before the laboratory, or, where appropriate, before the Organizer, who will convey the request to the laboratory.
